The Innkeeping Adventure Begins...Phase One

On September 1, 2017, my husband and I purchased Bunny’s Bed & Breakfast in Arrow Rock, MO and it officially became Flint Creek Inn.  Excited and a little nervous, as with any new venture, we moved in and got to work.  Remodeling and deep cleaning were the first things on the agenda.  We had ten days before we would be hosting guests and the only furniture was a bed in...

The plan was to repair, texture and paint walls & trim, replace the carpet with tile and create a kitchenette in the commons area.  There was no way we would complete all the rooms in 10 days so we focused on remodeling 3 and deep cleaned the rest.  While they remodeled, I was busy ordering linens as any good Inn must have great sheets and towels.  I was also tasked with deep cleaning my kitchen and unpacking so that I would have something to cook with.

To say we had 10 great days of fun would be lying, but we did get a lot done and looked forward to hosting our first guests. 

We are so very thankful that we had family willing to use their vacation to help us.  We couldn’t have completed “Phase One” without them.  Thanks kids!!!
