Exciting events coming soon to Arrow Rock!
Ardee and I hope you are having a safe winter wherever this finds you. Cold, snowy and wet, pretty much sums things up. It is reassuring to know that Spring is right around the corner.
March starts off with Peanut Butter Lovers Day on the 1st. I'm the peanut butter lover here at the Inn but I asked Ardee about his favorite use for peanut butter. His reply, "No-bake Cookies". He is serious about his no-bake cookies and I have shared his favorite recipe on the previous blog post. You will want to give it a try!
March is also National Irish American Heritage month. Both Ardee and I have Irish heritage and have several plans to celebrate this month. For me, it’s corned beef and cabbage. I wish I could say that Ardee will join me but I will be enjoying that with my son-in-law as he is a fan. I will be sharing my favorite (& easy) crock-pot version to our Facebook page and here on the blog, so be watching for that.
Ardee has a new brew called "Imperial Stout" that he has been brewing for 3 months, which he plans to taste test on March 17th. He is still contemplating a brew class for those interested, just a few more steps to work through.
I want to encourage you to Like and follow our Facebook page and join the Fans of Flint Creek Inn group so you don’t miss out on any of the recipes or announcements to be shared this year. That is the easiest way to keep up with what is happening at the Inn. I haven’t posted to the group much in the past, but have plans of being more intentional this year.
Also, guests have asked where they can keep up with happenings if they don't use Facebook. The answer is this blog! Our website is where we will be posting more about current dinner menus and any updates we think will be of interest to you, our guest. So if you're wondering what we are up to, keep this page bookmarked for a quick click through to catch up on the lastest happenings. You can also sign up for our (usually) monthly emails over on our Facebook page, top left column, labeled Email Signup! We give updates and also announce what's happening in Arrow Rock.
Arrow Rock has several upcoming events that will keep us busy right up to the start of the 60th season for the Lyceum Theatre. And the season will definitely be a busy one. If you haven't yet booked a room for the upcoming season, I encourage you to do so. We are filling up quickly clear into October, so please plan ahead.
